I can’t even begin to describe what this means to me.
(Seriously. I can’t. I spent a long time trying to think of a worthy analogy and drew a total blank.) It’s. Just. Wildly. Special. I love everything about public libraries. Their quiet. Their community. Their portals to other worlds — and the librarian-guides who provide help along the way.
Basically, a lending library is the poster-child for a democratic and decent society
…and to have a book on one of their shelves is a writer’s dream.
